North Texas Closes Out The Fall Season

LONG BEACH, Calf. (10/26/07) Senior Anthony Brossard paced the North Texas men’s golf team at the Del Walker Intercollegiate with a 2-under par score of 211.  Broussard shot second and third rounds of under par golf and finished tied for 11th place.


Senior Raul Lemus had a solid showing in his second tournament of the fall at 3-over par 216. Lemus shot a 2-under par 68 in the second round and closed with a 1-over par 71.


A logjam of three players, Austin Welch, Michael Lord, and Cole Howard shot 222, 223, and 223 respectively. Welch fired a 222 while Lord and Howard posted tournament scores of 223. Luis Lemus struggled a bit with a three-round score of 247.


The Mean Green as a team finished in 11th place with a three round score of 865. North Texas shot a season-low round of 3-under par 280 in the second round.


This is the final fall tournament for the Mean Green as they start the spring season on February 17-18 by hosting the GADO/NT Classic in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
