Don January helped North Texas win four national titles from 1949-52, and went on to win 10 PGA Tour events, including the 1967 PGA Championship.

DALLAS – Former North Texas and PGA Tour standout Don January took time on Monday to serve as the Celebrity Chair of the second-annual C.C. Young Golf Tournament at Bent Tree Country Club, which benefitted the Dallas-based retirement community.

“I’ve had a lifetime of good memories and I’m very grateful to the game of golf for providing me such a good career,” said January. “I’m glad to be able to support the 2013 C. C. Young Golf Classic.”

Additionally, The Point Center for Arts and Education provides creative and fitness outlets for both campus residents and the Dallas-Fort Worth community.

Russell Crews, president and chief executive officer of C. C. Young noted, “We are thrilled to have the legendary Don January as our golf chair for our second annual C. C. Young Golf Classic. Mr. January’s career as a professional golfer and continued involvement in the Champions Tour exemplifies our spirit and culture of celebrating life every day.
