Mean Green Close Out Play At The Squire Creek Classic
CHOUDRANT, La. (10/18/05) ? Senior Andreas Kali and sophomore Raul Lemus both shot final rounds of 2-over par to lead the North Texas men's golf team at the final round of the Louisiana Tech Squire Creek Classic.
Sophomore Anthony Broussard had a difficult time in the final round after starting the final 18 holes tied for third place, just four shots behind the leaders. Broussard shot a 5-over par 77 and closed out the tournament at 2-over par 218.
“We got off to a slow start and we were just unable to dig ourselves out of that hole the entire tournament,” said
Lemus fired a three-round score of 225 while Kali was two shots behind at 227. Jason Lindgren was 4-over par in the final round and had a tournament score of 229. Freshman Harris Graham shot a 78 in the third round and had a score of 236 for the tournament.
The Mean Green as a team finished tied for 14th place.
