CHOUDRANT, La. (10/17/05) Sophomore Anthony Broussard fired a career-best round of 4-under par 68 and is tied for third place after the first day of the Louisiana Tech Squire Creek Classic.
Broussard sits just four shots behind the leader heading into the final round of play with a two-round score of 3-under par 141.
Raul Lemus shot a 2-over par 74 in the opening round and closed out the first day of play with a 77 in the second round.
Jason Lindgren and Andreas Kali both had identical rounds of 79 in the first and 74 in the second on the first day. Freshman Harris Graham rebounded from an opening round of 82 with a second round of 76.
The Mean Green shot an opening round of 305 but closed out strong in the second round with a 292. North Texas sits in 18th place after the first day of play in the field of 20 teams.
