North Texas Has A Difficult Time In Louisiana

RUSTON, La. (10/16/07) It was rough going for the North Texas men’s golf team at the Squire Creek Intercollegiate as they struggled in the final day. The Mean Green completed the second round in the morning but finished strong with its best round of the tournament in the third with a 297.


North Texas finished in 18th place at the tournament with a three-round score of 907.


True freshman Nathan Sheen turned in the best round of the tournament for the Mean Green with an even-par final round of 72. Anthony Broussard had the low score for the tournament for the Mean Green with an 8-over par 224. Broussard finished the second round with a 2-over 74 and the third at 3-over 75. Cole Howard was four-shots behind Broussard with a 228.


Dustin Thompson played well in the third round with a 1-over par 73 to close with a 230 while Sheen finished one shot behind with a 231. Harris Graham posted a three-round score of 239.


North Texas is back in action at the Del Walker Classic October 25-26 in Long Beach, Calf.
