Men's Golf Tees Off 2017-18 Season Friday At Wolf Run Intercollegiate

Sept. 7, 2017

ZIONSVILLE, Indiana - The North Texas men's golf program gets the 2017 fall season underway on Friday at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, hosted by Indiana University at Wolf Run Golf Club. The Mean Green look to make a return to the NCAA tournament, after just missing out on an at-large bid a year ago, despite sending three to compete as individuals.

The five-man lineup comprised of junior Jordan Sanders, sophomore Tobin Niblett, juniors Thomas Rosenmueller and Ian Snyman, as well as freshman Vitek Novak will open the tournament with round one on Friday, playing a round a day through Sunday.

North Texas will face off on the par 71 course against event hosts Indiana, Arkansas State, Ball State, Bowling Green, UCF, East Carolina, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, Kentucky, Miami, North Carolina State, Southern Illinois, Toledo, Western Kentucky and Xavier. The five Mean Green golfers are slated to tee off on Friday morning at 8:45 a.m. CT and fans can follow all of the action with live results here, courtesy of Golfstat.com.

The North Texas men's golf team fell in match-play to Charlotte at the Conference USA championships in the semifinal round last season after earning the top seed during stroke play.
