DENTON – The schedule for the 2017-18 North Texas men’s golf program was released Tuesday, head coach Brad Stracke announced.

“Our schedule is strong with a lot of variety this year,” Stracke said. “We will play in the Midwest, West and the east coast. I’m looking forward to see how this team will compete this year.”

The Mean Green open the fall season at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Zionsville, Indiana, for the second straight season, on Sept. 8-10. They continue at the Trinity Forest SMU Invitational in Dallas from Sept. 24-26 before heading to the David Toms Intercollegiate in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from Oct. 7-8. The Mean Green conclude their fall season at The Tavistock Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, Florida, from Oct. 22-24.

The spring portion of the schedule kicks off at the All-American Intercollegiate in Humble, Texas, from Feb. 16-18 before the Mean Green head to the N.I.T. in Tucson, Arizona, from Feb. 26-27. North Texas is then scheduled to compete in the Bob Sutton Invitational in Irving from March 12-14 before traveling southeast to The Hayt in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, from March 17-18. The Mean conclude the spring component of the season at The Aggie Invite in College Station from April 7-8.

The postseason kicks off with the 2018 Conference USA Championship, which will once again be at the Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Arkansas, from April 22-25. The NCAA Regionals are scheduled to take place May 14-16 and the NCAA Championship will be held at The Blessings in Fayetteville, Arkansas, from May 25-30.

Last season, three members of the Mean Green earned invites to the 2017 NCAA Austin Regional, following the team’s top four finish at the Conference USA championship.
