Mean Green To Tee Off At C-USA Championship Sunday

TEXARKANA, Ark. - The North Texas men's golf team is set to begin the Conference USA Championship Sunday from the Texarkana Country Club (par 72/6,969 yards).

The Mean Green enter the tournament at No. 62 in the Golfstat relative rankings, and are in search of the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals, should the Mean Green win the conference title.

The Mean Green are one of 13 teams in the field, alongside top seed Middle Tennessee, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Old Dominion, Rice, Southern Miss, UAB, UTEP, UTSA and Western Kentucky.

The five-man lineup comprised of sophomores Thomas Rosenmueller and Ian Snyman, seniors Cory Churchman and Andrew Hudsonas well as sophomore Devin Jackson, will open the event on Sunday, April 23, carrying through Wednesday, April 26. The five Mean Green golfers are slated to tee off in round one on Sunday morning 9:20 a.m. and fans can follow all of the action with live results here, courtesy of Golfstat.com.

The first portion of the event will begin with a three-day, 54-hole event will open with round one on Sunday, with round two on Monday and the third and final round on Tuesday. Following the results of stroke play, the top four teams will advance to a seeded match play round to be held on Wednesday, April 26. The team champion after match play will receive C-USA's automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals.
