Mean Green Take On Strong Field At The Maxwell Friday
North Texas Set To Compete In Final Tune-Up Before Conference USA Championships
EDMOND, Okla. - The North Texas men's golf team is set to compete in The Maxwell to face seven teams ranked inside the GolfStat Top 50, four of which are in the top 25.
The event is being held at Oak Tree Golf Club on the Oak Tree Country Club East Course.
This marks the final tournament of the season before the Conference USA Championships later this month.
The event will be carried live on Friday, April 14 from 1:30-6:30 p.m. CT on Fox Sports Southwest and Fox College Sports Pacific. Streaming will be available on the Fox Sports GO app through cable subscription authentication for viewers that have access to FCS Pacific.
The five-man lineup comprised of sophomores Thomas Rosenmueller and Ian Snyman, seniors Cory Churchman and Andrew Hudson, as well as sophomore Devin Jackson, will open the event on Friday, April 14, carrying through Saturday, April 15. The five Mean Green golfers are slated to tee off in round one on Friday morning 8:30 a.m. and fans can follow all of the action with live results here, courtesy of Golfstat.com.
The two-day, 54-hole event will open with rounds one and two on Friday, carrying through the final round Saturday.
The Mean Green (No. 66 according to Golfstat) will compete against a very deep and talented field, including host Oklahoma (No. 13), Augusta (No. 45), Baylor (No. 3), Colorado (No. 25), East Carolina (No. 79), Liberty (No. 49), Memphis (No. 131), New Mexico (No. 48), Oklahoma State (No. 2), SMU (No. 69), UCLA (No. 59), UTSA (No. 103) and Wichita State (No. 116).
