Kincaid Four Shots Off The Pace After First Day

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (3/30/09) North Texas senior Clarke Kincaid sits four shots off the lead after the first two rounds of the UALR/First Tee Intercollegiate Classic. Kincaid, playing his usual solid rounds of golf, fired a 1-over par 145 and is tied for 10th place after the first 36 holes. Kincaid shot an even-par round of 72 in the opening 18 holes and followed that up with a 1-over par 73.


Dustin Thompson is four shots back of Kincaid after two rounds of 75 and 74. Thompson, slowly regaining his all-conference form, was tied for 30th after the first two-rounds.


 Besides the play of Kincaid and Thompson it was a tough two rounds for North Texas. The Mean Green as a team shot a two round score of 607 and is alone in 14th place after 36 holes.


Harris Graham opened the tournament with an 82 but rebounded with a second round score of 2-over par 74. Lance Byars and Ben Hargis never got on track in the first two rounds. Byars opened with a 78 but fell back with a second round of 84. Hargis struggled to start the day with an 84 but rebounded with a second round of 79.


The final round of the UALR/First Tee Intercollegiate Classic starts tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
