STATESBORO, Ga. - Jason Roets vaulted his way into the top-10 after the second round of the Schenkel Invitational while the No. 25 North Texas men's golf team remained in a tie for eighth place.

Roets played one of his best rounds of the year as he posted a 2-under par 70 and moved up the leaderboard into a tie for 10th place. The Mean Green as a team shot a second round of 6-over 294 and has a score of 590 through 36 holes of play.

No. 4 Alabama took the lead in the second round shooting a 7-under par. They lead No. 6 Texas by two strokes heading into the final round.

Roets got off to a roaring start as he was 4-under par after the first nine holes, including an eagle on the par-5 seventh hole. The more difficult back nine got Roets with two bogeys, but he sits at 1-under par for the tournament.
