The senior fired a first-round 68, which is tied for the lowest of the tournament through two rounds of play. Howard sits in a tie for seventh place with a 1-over par 145, and the Mean Green are in 10th with one round remaining today.
Anthony Broussard and Dustin Thompson are both tied for 46th place at 8-over par with a score of 152.
Austin Welch is tied for the lowest score on all par-3 holes (2-under par), and is just a stroke back of Broussard and Thompson in a tie for 52nd place.
Harris Graham is tied for 62nd place with an 11-over par 155.
