Kincaid Leads The Way At Louisiana Classics

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana (3/9/09) Clarke Kincaid posted a top-20 performance as he sits in 17th place through two rounds at the 24th Annual Louisiana Classics Monday in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Kincaid, a senior out of Trophy Club, Texas, shot a team-best 70 in the first round and followed that up with a 75 in the second for a final day score of 145.

Kincaid, who had a 14th place finish at the All-American Classic, finished second overall on the day with 28 pars. As a team North Texas stands 13th out of the 15 school bracket and had a final score of 603 (299 1st round, 304 2nd round).

Harris Graham is in 39th place after posting back-to-back rounds of 74 for a 148 total. He was followed by Dustin Thompson, who shot a 75 in the first round and finished with a 152. Nathan Sheen (158) and Michael Lee (163) followed respectively.

North Texas will be back in action tomorrow followed by a tournament Mar. 13-14 at the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas.
