LAFAYETTE, La. (3/6/07) - Freshman Dustin Thompson fired a three-round score of 2-under par 214 to lead the North Texas men's golf team at the Louisiana Classic. Thompson, had an opening round of 71 and a second round of 2-under par 70 to finish tied for 11th place.
The Mean Green as a team were tied for 12th place in a field of 15 teams that featured three Big 12 schools. North Texas shot a three-round score of 884.
Anthony Broussard had a three-round score of 221 as he posted his best round of the tournament with a 72 in the second round.
Austin Welch carded a 224 with a 72 in the second round. Harris Graham and Cole Howard struggled with scores of 228 and 230 for the tournament.
North Texas is back in action on March 16-17 at the Border Olympics.
