NT Ends In Four-Way Tie With Top-15 Teams

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Due to the heavy rains overnight and throughout the day in the Jacksonville area, the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational was shortened to just 36 holes and the No. 33 North Texas men's golf team finished in a four-way tie for fourth place.

The second round scores will serve as the final results. North Texas finishes the tournament in a four-way tie with No. 7 Florida, No. 12 LSU, and No. 14 Arkansas at 11-over par. The Mean Green defeated No. 22 Tennessee, No. 38 Tulsa, No. 44 Ole Miss and No. 48 Coastal Carolina.

Senior Rodolfo Cazaubon was the highest finisher for North Texas with a 1-under par score of 143. He finished in a tie for ninth place.

The host school, No. 25 North Florida won the tournament title with a score of 17-under par. The field featured 11 teams ranked in the top-50 and six top-25 teams.

North Texas returns to the course on March 11-12 at the Squire Creek Intercollegiate.
