Broussard Posts Best Round Of The Day At The All-American

SPRING, Tex. (2/26/08) North Texas senior Anthony Broussard took his game to another level at the final round of the All-American Golf Classic, posting the best round of the day out of the 64 competitors.


Broussard shot a final round of 1-under par 71 in very difficult conditions as only Josh Stewart from New Mexico State was able to match the score turned in by Broussard in the final round.


North Texas as team shot a third round score of 306 to post a 913 for the tournament, finishing in 10th place. Middle Tennessee won the team championship by one stroke over UALR.


Broussard finished tied for 10th place with a three-round score 223. Teammate Austin Welch also finished tied for 10th place as he posted a final round score of 76 and a 223. Cole Howard and Harris Graham both posted third round scores of 78. Dustin Thompson fired a final round of 79 and Ben Smock checked in with an 82.


The Mean Green is back in action on March 10-11 at the Louisiana-Classic.
