Kincaid And Sheen Power North Texas In Spring Opener

HOUSTON, Texas (2/24/09) Clarke Kincaid and Nathan Sheen posted top 15 finishes for North Texas in the final round of the All-American Classic. Kincaid notched his best finish since arriving at North Texas with a final round of 3-over par 74 to close in a tie for 14th place. Sheen had the same three-round score of 223 and the 14th place finish was his second-best at North Texas.  Sheen had a final round of 74.

"I thought that today was a little disappointing but I’m encourage by what I saw out there this tournament,” said coach Brad Stacke. “The team has a lot of skill but we just need to work on our game management and get better at the mental part of the game and in two months when we come back to this course we will be ready to go after a championship.”

The Mean Green as a team fell back a bit in the final round with a 309 to finish in eighth place in the field of 13 teams.

Michel Lee closed out a strong tournament with a top 25 finish following his final round of 77. Lee carded a 226 for the tournament.

Harris Graham shot a final round of 80 while Dustin Thompson posted a third round of 85. Graham finished with a 234 while Thompson had a 236.

North Texas is back in action on March 13-14 at the Border Olympics.
