Mean Green Tee Off Spring Season At SunTrust Gator Invitational Saturday
North Texas Looks To Improve Its Ranking By Taking On Talented Field In Gainesville
GAINESVILLE, Florida - The North Texas men's golf team is set to open the spring season at the SunTrust Gator Invitational Saturday, hosted by the University of Florida at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Florida. Nine of the 15 teams rank inside the GolfStat Top 50.
The five-man lineup comprised of sophomore Ian Snyman, sophomore Thomas Rosenmueller, senior Cory Churchman, sophomore Devin Jackson, and sophomore Jordan Sanders will open the two-day event on Saturday, February 18, carrying through Sunday, February 19. The five Mean Green golfers are slated to tee off in round one on Saturday morning at 7 a.m. CT and fans can follow all of the action with live results here, courtesy of Golfstat.com.
The 54-hole event will open with rounds one and two Saturday, while the final 18 holes will be played on Sunday.
The Mean Green (No. 63 according to Golfstat) will compete against a talented field, including host Florida (No. 2), Wake Forest (No. 12), Arkansas (No. 29), Florida State (No. 30), Liberty (No. 31), North Florida (No. 33), Missouri (No. 35), Jacksonville (No. 38), College of Charleston (No. 44), UCF (No. 51), South Florida (No. 72), Troy (No. 74), UAB (No. 79) and Georgia Southern (No. 103).
