Mean Green Surge Into Second Place At David Toms

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana - The North Texas men's golf team is in second place of the team competition after two rounds of play at the David Toms Intercollegiate at the University Club in Baton Rouge, at +17. Host LSU leads the way at -5, but a trio of Mean Green golfers are tied for 10th individually in senior Corey Churchman, sophomore Ian Snyman and sophomore Devin Jackson sit at +4 after day one. Sophomore Thomas Roesnmueller is tied for 17th place after his five-over-par performance.

The best rounds of the day for the Mean Green were shared by Snyman and Jackson, who made his North Texas debut Saturday. The pair each shot one-over-par 73's in the first round of play.

The Mean Green conclude action Sunday and tee off at 8:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start in the final round and fans can follow all of the action with live results here, courtesy of Golfstat.com.
