Freshman Rosenmueller Sizzles Again, Only 3 Shots Off The Lead

Sept. 27, 2015

GLENCOE, Ill. – With Lake Michigan hovering off the coast, true freshman Thomas Rosenmueller dazzled once again for the North Texas men’s golf team at the opening day of the Windon Memorial Classic.  Rosenmueller fired a 4-under par and is tied for fourth place after 36 holes of play and he sits only three strokes off the lead heading into the final day.

The second round was suspended due to darkness with one group left on the course, which had other freshman sensation Ian Snyman in it for North Texas.

The Mean Green was tied with Georgetown for eighth place when play was suspended. Rosenmueller started his day with a 4-under 67. He had five birdies and only one bogey on the round. He shot a second-round of 71.

Rosenmueller is looking to top the 12th place finish he notched a few days ago to begin the season and his collegiate career.

Snyman, who will finish his second round in the morning, is tied for 18th place at 1-over when play was suspended. He shot an opening round of even-par 71.

Michael Cotton is tied for 48th place through 36 holes with rounds of 75 and 73. Ross Martens is tied for 63rd following a 76 and a 74, while Cory Churchman is in 73rd after shooting a 79 and 76.
