Munoz Has Best Finish Since Freshman Year
Mean Green Tied For 10th Place At Windon Classic

CHICAGO, Ill. – Juan Munoz notched his best tournament performance in over two years to lead the North Texas men’s golf team in the final round of the Windon Memorial Classic. Munoz finished in a tie for 16th place, his best finish since his freshman year, after a final round of 2-over par 74 and a three-round score of 217.
Munoz previous best finish came in his first collegiate start as a freshman where he finished tied for 14th place. North Texas as a team shot a third-round of 302 and finished tied for 10th place. Host school Northwestern came from behind to notch a three stroke win over Kent State.
Despite a final round of 81, Cory Churchman ended in a tie for 31st with the second lowest tournament score for the Mean Green. Churchman never recovered from a triple bogey to start the round and notched just one birdie. Nick Rodriguez shot a third round of 78 and ended in a tie for 49th place.
Andrew Hudson, making his debut for North Texas, closed strong with a 1-over par 73. He had two birdies on the day and finished tied for 54th place. Julien Marot came in at 5-over par in the final round and tied for 66th for the tournament.
North Texas returns to action at the Shoal Creek Invitational September 30-October 1.
