Men’s Golf Wraps Up Round Two At NCAA Tucson Regional
North Texas Tied For Ninth; Churchman Sits In A Tie For 10th
The North Texas men's golf team sits in ninth place after two rounds at the NCAA Tucson Regional.

MARANA, Ariz. – The North Texas men’s golf team completed round two of the NCAA Tucson Regional finishing in a tie for ninth place with a two-round total of 597 on Tuesday afternoon at Gallery Golf Club.
The Mean Green will enter the final round 17 strokes back of fifth-place California as the top five teams advance to the NCAA Finals. North Texas finished the day with a team score of 301 (13-over par) and are tied in ninth place with Georgia State.
Junior Cory Churchman started out on fire with four birdies to finish his first nine holes three-under par but four bogeys on his last four holes ended his round at one-over par 73. Churchman sits in a tie for 10th place at one-under and is seven shots back of the leader Franklin Huang from Stanford.
Sophomore Michael Cotton bounced back with a second round two-over par 74 to sit in a tie for 45th after two rounds. Junior Nick Rodriguez carded his second-straight four-over par 76 to also sit in a tie for 45th.
Freshman Thomas Rosenmueller shot a second round 78 (six-over par) and is tied for 52nd after two rounds. Classmate Ian Snymanalso scored a six-over par 78 in round two sitting in a tie for 52nd heading into the final round Wednesday.
The Mean Green will begin the final round at 9 a.m. central time playing with UC Riverside and No. 48 Georgia Tech.
