Rodriguez Finishes In 12th Place At C-USA Championship
Mean Green Close The Season Out in 10th Place At C-USA Championship

EDMOND, Okla. – Freshman Nick Rodriguez had a career-best finish to power the North Texas men’s golf team on the final day of the C-USA Conference Championship. Rodriguez finished in a tie for 12th place, his lowest finish of the season, while the Mean Green shot a final round of 300 and slipped to 10th place overall.
Rice overtook Tulsa and No. 18 UAB on the final day to capture the team championship. The Mean Green finished with a three-round score of 894.
Rodriguez led NT with a final round of 3-over par 73 and his 12th place finish was the best by a freshman at a conference championship since 2012. Fellow freshman Andrew Hudson finished tied for 32nd place after firing a final round of 5-over par 75. He had five birdies on the day, including a stretch of four birdies in five holes.
Cory Churchman shot a 6-over par 76 on the final day and ended tied for 42nd place. Juan Munoz and Jason Roets finished tied for 61st place. Roets shot a third-round of 76 while Munoz struggled with a final round of 83.
