COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Treacherous weather and a difficult course kept the scores high at the final day of the Aggie Invitational as the Mean Green golf team slipped to 11th place. Wet weather suspended play, but when it resumed NT was unable to get on track, shooting a 321 on the day and falling to 11th place to finish the tournament.
No. 25 LSU and No. 16 Texas A&M finished in a tie for the team championship as scores on the final day skyrocketed as none of the 12-team field shot below 300.
Cory Churchman was the only NT player to break 80 on the day with a final round of 79. He finished in a tie for 48th place. Jason Roets had the best finish of the tournament for NT as he shot a final round of 82 to finish tied for 37th.
Nick Rodriguez and Juan Munoz both shot third-rounds of 80 and finished in 45th and 48th place. Gonzalo Rubio had the toughest day with a final round of 86 to finish in 64th place.
The was the final tune-up for the Mean Green before the C-USA Conference Championship April 27-29.
