PALM CITY, Florida - Sophomore Thomas Rosenmueller finished in a tie for fourth place individually par at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational from the Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Florida. Sophomore Ian Snyman had his best round of the tournament, carding a 4-under 67 to finish in 12th place at 2-over for the event. North Texas finished seventh as a team following Tuesday's 2-over round to finish at 19-over par for the tournament.

"Thomas [Rosenmueller] had a solid tournament and really played well enough to win this week," head coach Brad Stracke said. "Ian [Snyman] had an incredible round going today at 6-under through the first nine holes. His first nine was the most difficult part of the course today, so Ian had an opportunity to go really low, but we won't complain about a 67. Devin [Jackson] also had a nice final round at even par. Overall this was a good event for us and should give us a boost of confidence going down the stretch."

Rosenmueller entered the final round in a tie for the lead, and despite not finishing atop the leaderboard, had a very impressive tournament, conlcuding with a top four finish. He birdied twice, on No. 4 and No. 10, respectively, to finish his Tuesday at 2-over par and even par for the tournament.

Fellow sophomore Ian Snyman was fantastic Tuesday, firing a 4-under 67 on the final day of competition to climb from 33rd all the way up to a tie for 12th to finish his week. He birdied six of his first eight holes on Tuesday, the 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th holes. He then finished with pars on nine of his final 11 holes to card the team-best round of 67.

Devin Jackson closed his tournament in impressive fashion with an even-par 71 of his own, with a flurry of three birdies across four holes on his back nine.
