Mean Green Slip Two Spots After Round 2 At All-American

Feb. 17, 2018

HUMBLE, Texas - After a hot start to the All-American Intercollegiate on Friday, North Texas slipped a bit in Saturday’s second round as the Mean Green shot a 4-over par as a team and dropped two spots on the leaderboard to a tie for seventh place with South Alabama at 3-under 573 for the first two days.

Junior Ian Snyman led the Mean Green on the day with a 1-under 71 and is now in 14th place on the individual leaderboard with the third and final round scheduled for Sunday at the Golf Club of Houston.

Junior Thomas Rosenmueller is in a tie for 15th place after shooting a 2-over 74 on Saturday to follow up his 67 on Friday.

Several teams made moves on Saturday, most notably No. 13 Wake Forest, which shot 6-under to move past North Texas into sixth place, and No. 3 Baylor, which fired a 9-under to catapult into a distant second place behind leader Auburn, the No. 10 team in the nation.

The Mean Green will continue play on Sunday morning, and live results can be found here.
