Assistant Coach

Scarola rejoins the program after his time as a student-athlete in Denton from 2010-13, and a graduate assistant in 2013 to become the assistant coach in 2017.

Scarola, a native of South Africa, was a part of the North Texas program when it became the first team in 40 years to win back-to-back conference championships in 2012 and 2013. The Mean Green also went to three NCAA Championships during Scarola’s time in Denton.

While earning his Master of Science degree in 2016, he spent the 2014-16 seasons as a graduate assistant at Dallas Baptist University. He was a part of teams that reached the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Championships in 2016 for both the men’s and women’s programs and helped the 2015 women’s team to a national title.
