North Texas Looks To Bounce Back At Middle Tennessee Tonight

DENTON, Texas (11/22/08) The North Texas football team closes out their 2008 road portion of the schedule with a trip to Murfreesboro to take on the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee Saturday afternoon.

Floyd Stadium has become home away from home for the Mean Green as they are a career 3-0 at Middle Tennessee, the latest of which was a 14-7 win in 2005. North Texas leads the all-time series 5-2.

North Texas is coming off a 46-13 loss last week at Florida Atlantic. The Mean Green was outscored 40-6 in the second and third quarters, which prevented them for winning consecutive games for the first time in the Todd Dodge era. Middle Tennessee won their second straight game last week with a 21-10 win at Western Kentucky.

The Mean Green will face a Middle Tennessee team that ranks last in the Sun Belt in scoring offense with just 19.4 points per game. However, the Blue Raiders do rank third in the conference in total team defense, allowing 363.7 yards a game. North Texas ranks last with 490.9 yards a game.

There is no television but the game can be heard on the Mean Green Radio Network. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m.
