Mean Green Has Sights Set on 25 Straight Conference Wins

North Texas (6-4, 6-0) will try to extend its 24-game Sun Belt winning streak at Arkansas State (3-7, 3-3) Thursday night in Jonesboro, Ark. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CST. The game will be broadcast live as part of the Sun Belt ESPN Regional package with Sam Smith and Jim Donnan providing the call. It can be seen in the Dallas/Fort Worth area on KFWD Channel 52 and it can also be heard live on KWRD (100.7 FM) and KNTU (88.1 FM) in Dallas/Fort Worth.

North Texas clinched its fourth-straight Sun Belt championship and earned a bid to the New Orleans Bowl with its win over Idaho Saturday. The Mean Green has won six straight games and is trying to close out its third straight year with an undefeated conference record.

North Texas is led by true freshman running back Jamario Thomas who leads the nation in rushing with an average of 189.9 yards per game. Arkansas State has played very well in Jonesboro this year, dropping a close game against Memphis before beating Troy and Utah State in Indian Stadium.
