NT Alum Makes History as AFC Offensive Player of the Week

(October 27, 2004) - Former North Texas Football standout and Kansas City Chiefs offensive guard Brian Waters became the first lineman to ever be named the American Football Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.

Waters paved the way for Chief's running backs to rumble for an NFL record eight touchdowns against the league's top run defense, the Atlanta Falcons.

Drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1998, Waters has started every game for the Chiefs since the 2002 season.

Waters lettered at North Texas from 1995-98 and was selected first team All-Big West Conference at defensive tackle in 1998.
