Listen/Watch The North Texas/ULM Game Tonight!

DENTON, Texas (10/18/08) The North Texas football team is back on the road tonight as the Mean Green travels to Monroe to face ULM. Kick-off is at 6 p.m. from Malone Stadium in Monroe. The game can be heard on the Mean Green Radio Network.

Both teams enter the game struggling as the Warhawks have the only win between the two teams. The Mean Green is coming off its best offensive performance of the year against Louisiana-Lafayette, scoring 30 points. Both teams are 0-2 in Sun Belt Conference play.

North Texas senior wide receiver Casey Fitzgerald leads the nation in receptions, with an average of 9.2 per game. His 14 catches last week against Louisiana-Lafayette is the third-best single-game performance in North Texas history and the second-best performance by any receiver in the NCAA this year.

He has had 11 or more receptions in five of the last 17 games, including three of the top four performances in school history. His 104.7 receiving yards per game also ranks seventh nationally.

A long series between North Texas and ULM has the two teams tied at 12-12. More times than not it has been the home team that has the advantage. In Monroe ULM has the advantage over North Texas 8-4. Last season the Mean Green captured a 31-21 win over the Warhawks at Fouts Field.
