#NFLMeanGreen: Week Four Recap

Oct. 3, 2017

DENTON - Week four of the National Football League season is in the books, and MeanGreenSports.com has you covered for 2017's fourth regular season installment of #NFLMeanGreen.

Two of the three former North Texas players in the NFL, New Orleans Saints linebacker Craig Robertson and Oakland Raiders fullback Jamize Olawale both saw action again this week. Los Angeles Rams running back Lance Dunbar remains out with a knee injury and is on the PUP/Reserve list, meaning the earliest he can return to the field is Week 7.

Robertson's Saints (2-2) picked up their second straight win, this time shutting out the Miami Dolphins (1-1) at Wembley Stadium in London. Robertson posted a season-high three tackles in the win. New Orleans has a bye week this week as they get ready to host the Detroit Lions in two weeks.

Olawale's Raiders (2-2) fell for the second consecutive week, after a tough 16-10 loss on the road against the Denver Broncos (3-1), and were dealt a bit of a blow when quarterback Derek Carr went down with a back injury. Olawale carried once for a yard and caught two passes for 13 yards in the loss. Oakland returns to the Bay Area to host the Baltimore Ravens (2-2) at 3:05 p.m. CT on CBS.

The Rams (3-1) held on to knock off the Dallas Cowboys, 35-30 on Sunday in Arlington. Los Angeles returns home to host the Seattle Seahawks (2-2) in a key NFC West showdown Sunday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. on CBS.

Be sure to follow the former Mean Green players in the NFL throughout the remainder of the regular season here on MeanGreenSports.com each Tuesday.
