Results of Apogee Stadium Fan Survey Released

Sept. 29, 2016

DENTON - The North Texas Athletic Department on Thursday released the results of the Mean Green Survey, an online questionnaire that allowed fans to voice their opinions on the game day experience at Apogee Stadium, and 92 percent of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall experience.

"We really appreciate our fans taking time to provide perspective and their valuable feedback as we seek to improve our game day operations in and around Apogee Stadium," said Wren Baker, vice president and director of athletics. "I'm very appreciative of our staff and the job that they do each and every game day, as is confirmed in the 92 percent satisfaction rate from the survey. That said, we also realize the need for continual improvement and have identified a number of short term and long term opportunities that can help us better meet the expectations and demands from our great fan base."

The survey was taken during and after the 2016 season-opening game at Apogee against SMU. Over 1,200 comments were collected by the 797 people who completed the survey. The athletics department handed out over 10,000 survey cards at the game and sent email requests to nearly 50,000 people asking for feedback. There were eight different categories that the survey sought feedback on, including customer service, cleanliness, and in-game entertainment. The results will be used to help Baker and the athletics department focus on areas that need to be addressed in both short-term and long-range planning efforts.
