Don Lovelace Wins Regal Eagle Raffle

DENTON (9/13/07) - Don Lovelace won the Regal Eagle Raffle and a round-trip bus ride to the North Texas/Arkansas football game on Sept. 29 after having his name drawn by UNT Foundation Board member Thomas E. Muir. The Regal Eagle Raffle raised $12,450 for the Mean Green Club Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund.

Alongside UNT Foundation Executive Director Douglas J. Chadwick, Muir picked winner Don Lovelace from a box containing 249 tickets at the T.D. Parks Hall of Fame at the North Texas athletic center.

Don is a long-time business owner and is very active in the Denton community. Don and his wife, Patty, are residents of Denton and own Lily of the Desert, an organic aloeceutical product company.

The lucky winner and 10 guests receive round-trip travel on the Regal Eagle to Fayetteville, AR for the Sept. 29 North Texas/Arkansas game. The trip also includes game and tailgating tickets and hotel accommodations.

Before facing Arkansas, the North Texas football team opens its home portion of the 2007 schedule on Saturday, Sept. 22 against Florida Atlantic at Fouts Field at 6 pm.
