DENTON - In July, North Texas announced that beer sales would begin at Apogee Stadium this fall. With the Mean Green set to face SMU in its home opener this Saturday, take some time to get the answers to these questions:
Where will beer be sold?
Beer will be sold in the four corners of Apogee Stadium, with craft beverages being offered in the northwest corner near the Gate 2 ticket office. Each booth will have four lines with one line designated for beer-only purchases.
What beverages will be sold?
A variety of domestic and craft beers will be served. Domestic beverages will include 16-ounce aluminum bottles of Bud Light, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra and Bud Light Lime. In addition, domestic booths will offer 12-ounce cups of Shiner Bock and Dos Equis. The craft booth will serve Bud Light and Miller Lite in addition to Real Ale Fireman's 4, Rahr & Sons Oktoberfest, Alaskan Amber Ale and Angry Orchard Hard Cider.
How much will beer cost?
Domestics will cost $6, and craft beers will cost $7.
When will beer be sold?
Sales will begin 90 minutes before kickoff and will cease at the end of the third quarter. Guests in line before closing time will still be served.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash and credit are accepted with proper identification. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid driver's license, military ID, state ID or passport.
