#NFLMeanGreen: Preseason Week Three
Olawale Makes Preseason Debut For The Raiders, Robertson Records Sack
DENTON – With the National Football League’s preseason entering week three, it is again time to revisit those in the league that once called Denton home in 2017’s third installment of #NFLMeanGreen.
Two of the three former North Texas players in the NFL, New Orleans Saints linebacker Craig Robertson and Oakland Raiders fullback Jamize Olawale each saw action in the second week of the preseason. Los Angeles Rams running back Lance Dunbar remains out with a knee injury and is currently on the Rams’ physically unable to perform list.
Robertson’s Saints knocked off the Los Angeles Chargers 13-7 this past Sunday on the road, with Robertson finishing with three tackles and a sack. New Orleans will host the Houston Texans Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT.
Olawale’s Raiders, who fell 24-21 at home against Dunbar’s Los Angeles Rams last week, travel to Dallas Saturday night to take on the Cowboys at 7 p.m. Olawale, who made his preseason debut, did not record any stats in the Raiders’ second game of the preseason.
The Rams, now 2-0 this preseason, host the Los Angeles Chargers Saturday night, also at 7 p.m. live on CBS.
Be sure to follow the former Mean Green players in the NFL throughout the remainder of the preseason, and on into the regular season here on MeanGreenSports.com each Tuesday.
