VIDEO: Mean Green Holds Final Scrimmage Of Fall Camp

Aug 17, 2013

The North Texas football team held its final scrimmage of the fall camp in preparations for the season opener against Idaho. The Mean Green ran 120 plays that saw the offense bounce back just a bit from the previous week’s scrimmage in which the defense got the best of them.

All four quarterbacks saw significant time under center and the Mean Green running game got going as well.

Newcomer Erick Evans, the younger brother of safety Zed Evans, who was just added to the roster this week, had a pair of impressive touchdown runs. The defense forced a few turnovers, the first one coming on a Tanner Smith fumble in the open field in which freshman linebacker Fred Scott picked up the loose ball.

The Mean Green has one final week of the fall camp before final preparations for the game against Idaho begin on August 26. North Texas begins the 2013 season at home against Idaho on August 31.
