DENTON, Texas (7/27/09) – You wanted to meet him, so the Green Gang headed down to the weight room to bring you an interview with Charr Gahagan, the new football strength and conditioning coach for the Mean Green.
Watch Stephen Howard’s full interview with the newest member of the Mean Green staff. Gahagan comes to the Mean Green after a brief stint at the University of Washington and over eight years with USC.
Widely considered one of the up and coming strength coaches, Gahagan was a part of the USC staff starting in 2001 and worked under the highly decorated Chris Carlisle, strength coach of the Trojans.
While at USC, Gahagan helped train the three Heisman Trophy winners (Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, and Reggie Bush) and was part of two national championship teams in 2003 and 2004. During Gahagan’s time at USC, the Trojans had 42 NFL draft picks and 30 All-American first team players.
