DENTON, Texas (7/19/07) Decades of championships and award-winning moments are taking their rightful place along the walls of the Mean Green Athletic Center, as construction begins on the new T.D. Parks North Texas Hall of Fame.

Named for the former standout Mean Green running back, Terry Don Parks, the Hall of Fame is a compilation of pictures and memorabilia that captures the greatest moments and memories in North Texas history. The hall will feature everything from the program’s first football title in 1931, all the way up to the basketball team’s magical run to the NCAA Tournament in March.

The hall, which will compliment the Athletic Hall of Fame at The Super Pit, will include a pair of free-standing lobby cases to house memorabilia and graphics that honor all the North Texas greats, including coaches, athletes and moments.

Construction began earlier in the week, and is scheduled for completion in early fall. Stay tuned to MeanGreenSports.com for more updates on the completion of the hall.
