DENTON – Fresh off his most dynamic season in a Mean Green uniform, senior wide receiver Carlos Harris has been named to the 2015 Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse preseason watch list.

The Hornung Award is presented by the Louisville Sports Commission to college football’s most versatile player.

Harris led North Texas in receiving yards, all-purpose yardage, kickoff return yards and was second in punt return yardage in 2014. Harris also had the highest yards per carry at 10.2 in 2014, as he rushed nine times for 92 yards and a touchdown.

He was fifth in scoring for NT in 2014. Harris had over 100-yard all-purpose yards in six games, over 150-yards in five games, and two games of over 200-yards, including a career-high 234 yards in 2014.

Harris enters the 2015 season on the verge of the top-10 for his career in all-purpose yards at NT, while he already ranks in the top-10 in receptions

Harris is the first North Texas player to be named to Hornung preseason watch list. He is one of 44 players nationwide to be on the Hornung Award list.
