Lemon Named To Phil Steele's 2014 Preseason All-American Team
Lineman Is A Three-Time All-Conference Player
June 6, 2014
DENTON – North Texas offensive lineman Cyril Lemon has been named to Phil Steele’s 2014 Preseason All-American team.
Lemon, a three-time all-conference selection, was picked fourth-team all-America at offensive guard. He is one of only two players in C-USA to be a preseason all-America pick and one of two players from a non-power conference to be on the all-American offense.
Lemon is the only player in the nation to start every game since his freshman year and be named to the all-conference team in three-straight seasons. He has started 37-straight games entering his senior season. Lemon has been part of a North Texas offensive line that has allowed only 11 sacks in 2013 and the fewest sacks in the nation with 17 over the last two years.
Lemon enters the 2014 season with a shot at becoming the first NT offensive lineman at the FBS level to earn all-American honors since Bill Carrico in 1959.
