Mitch Maher

 

Mitch Maher is originally from Plano, TX, graduating from Plano Senior High School in 1991. He played football at North Texas from 1991 through 1994. The 1994 team won the Southland Conference Championship finishing 7-4-1 losing in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. Mitch left North Texas as the all-time leading passer and was awarded the 1994 Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year. He was also inducted into the North Texas Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.

Mitch is the Directional Leader/Teaching Pastor of Fellowship Bible Church of Jonesboro, Arkansas. FBC is a church Mitch helped plant in 2002. Mitch has a beautiful wife named Tara, whom he married on September 30, 2000, and they have a wonderful little girl named Macy, who will be two on May 7.

Mitch is still active with North Texas and every time the Mean Green travel to Arkansas State, Mitch is always an active supporter and wears his green proudly.
