Dodge Completes Staff With Hiring Of Rausch

DENTON (2/15/07) David Rausch has been hired as an assistant coach for the North Texas football team, head coach Todd Dodge announced today. Rausch will coach defensive ends for the Mean Green.

"David comes very highly recommended from two coaches that I have a tremendous amount of respect for in Jimmie Keeling and Alan Wartes at Hardin-Simmons," Dodge said. "He has a tremendous familiarity with our philosophy and he will be a great fit for this staff and this team."

Rausch coached the last two years at Hardin-Simmons University, coaching the defensive line. He served two seasons as a graduate assistant for Les Miles at Oklahoma State and was a student assistant at Hardin-Simmons prior to that. Rausch was a four-time all-conference selection as a defensive back for Hardin Simmons, finishing his career with 11 interceptions for the Cowboys. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 2000 from Hardin-Simmons.

Rausch is the ninth new assistant coach hired by Dodge.
