•Started at quarterback for Euless Trinity in 2009, as the Trojans won the state title
•Threw an 18-yard touchdown pass in the first overtime to beat Austin Westlake 41-38 in the Texas 5A Division I Title Game
•Helped Euless Trinity score 88 points in a Bidistrict game against Flower Mound in 2009, the most points scored in a UIL-sanctioned Texas playoff game since 1951, with 265 yards of total offense and three total touchdowns
•Named Second Team All-Texas
•Named District 5-5A MVP in 2009
•Completed 77 passes out of 127 attempts for 1428 yards, 11 touchdowns and just four interceptions
•Rushed for 1040 yards on 119 carries and scored 11 rushing touchdowns
•Rushed for 23 yards in 2008, and threw only one pass that season, a 25 yard touchdown pass
