Paved the way for his second straight 1,000 yard rusher, helping Patrick Cobbs run for 1,154 ... Has not had a run for negative yards in 51 career attempts ... Had only two carries for nine yards, but expanded into the passing game with six catches for 33 yards ... Caught the game-tying touchdown pass against Arkansas State in the season finale ... Was also a leader on special teams, notching two tackles.

A versatile piece of the Mean Green running game, Mitchell started every game at either fullback or halfback ... As a fullback he paved the way for the conference’s top rusher Jamario Thomas to lead the nation in rushing with 189.9 yards per game ... Starting at halfback against Arkansas State he rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries ... Averaged five yards per carry and was second on the team in rushing with 204 yards ... Did not have a run for negative yardage in 41 carries.

Served as a backup running back and was used heavily on special teams, earning his first letter after playing in all 13 games ... Scored his first collegiate touchdown on a 28-yard scoring run against Baylor and totaled 37 yards on four carries against the Bears ... Had seven carries during the season, totaling 46 yards ... Was a starter on the punt return team as well as both the kickoff and kickoff return teams ... Recovered a fumble for a touchdown in a score that made the difference in a 33-28 win at Middle Tennessee ... Had two tackles on special teams.
