North Texas gave up seven first half 3-pointers to WKU but only nine overall as the Mean Green was able to stop the bleeding in a much more competitive second half of play.
Tony Mitchell scored his second lowest total of the year, seven points. His lowest output was against conference rival Louisiana when he posted three.
On the flip side, Mitchell brought down 10 boards, one short of his season high 11 rebounds he grabbed against Alabama-Huntsville and Jackson State.
Jordan Williams put up 18 points in his second best scoring effort of the season. His season high is 26 against Alabama-Huntsville. He did it on 54 percent shooting, his most accurate performance of the season (minimum seven shots) by hitting on seven of 13 including three of four from deep.
The Mean Green had 26 points in the paint; it averages 36 points in the paint in wins and 29 in losses.
