Listen To The North Texas/Nebraska Men's Basketball Game!

Lincoln, NE (11/29/06) - The Mean Green men's basketball team heads to the Cornhusker State tonight to take on undefeated Nebraska in the first of five road games. Tip off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CST from the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The game is being carried on Fox Sports Midwest, but is available only in the state of Nebraska. All North Texas games can be heard on the Mean Green Radio Network.

Nebraska and North Texas will be meeting for the fourth time, with the Huskers taking the fi rst three games. This will be the first time the two have met since Dec. 2, 1988 - a 90-84 Nebraska win in Lincoln.

North Texas has a 36-99 record against current Big XII opponents, including a 17-30 mark against Baylor. The Mean Green’s last win against the conference came against the Bears, 73-69, on Dec. 9, 2003.

North Texas head coach Johnny Jones was named’s Mid Major Coach of the Week for guiding his club to a 5-1 record with wins over Tulsa and Texas State. This marks the second time this season that North Texas has been honored in the site’s “Nine West” section on mid-major programs. NT was also recognized following its win over Charlotte earlier this month.
