DENTON -- The North Texas men’s basketball team heads to New Jersey to face an undefeated Rutgers (4-0) team Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m. central time inside the Louis Brown Athletic Center (RAC).

The Mean Green will be playing their second game of the Scarlet Knight Showcase after an 83-62 home loss against Drexel on Nov. 20. The contest against the Scarlet Knights will be streamed live on BTN Plus with Lou Brogno and Dick Lloyd on the call.

Senior Deckie Johnson leads the team in scoring at 14.0 points per game but was held to a season-low six points against Drexel. Junior Jeremy Combs is averaging 11.0 points per game and freshman A.J. Lawson is third in scoring at 10.0.

Senior J-Mychal Reese has been running the show at point guard dishing out 5.0 assists per game and had six dimes against Drexel. Reese scored a season high 13 points off 3-for-3 from the three point line.

Sophomore center Rickey Brice Jr. leads the team in rebounding at 6.0 per game and has recorded a block in all three games. Brice, Jr. will need to be strong against the Scarlet Knights who are fifth in the nation in offensive rebounding at 18.25 per game.
