Road Contest At Creighton Picked Up By Fox Sports 1
Additional TV Opportunities Remain For Mean Green Hoops In 2015-16
DENTON – The North Texas men’s basketball road game against Creighton will be televised across the country by Fox Sports 1 as part of the initial schedule released Wednesday by the Conference USA.
Tipoff against Big East member Creighton in Omaha is set for Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. CT.
North Texas evened the all-time series at 5-5 last season with a 62-58 victory at the Super Pit on Dec. 21. Then-freshman Jeremy Combs had six points and pulled down eight rebounds in the win. The Mean Green haven’t won in Omaha since 1975 dropping the last two contests on the road in the series.
More than 60 additional men's basketball games during the regular season and at the C-USA Championship are set to be picked up through the league's partnership with Sinclair Broadcasting Group and its American Sports Network. Coverage of C-USA basketball will also be available online through the C-USA Digital Network, available exclusively on the league's official website www.ConferenceUSA.com. Non-televised conference home games will be offered live and archived for All-Access subscribers, along with weekly highlights and feature programming.
Additional games remain a possibility and will be announced when finalized. A complete schedule to date of televised games is listed below, all times are Eastern:
