Former Mean Green basketball standout Tony Mitchell has wowed fans and league executives alike with his high-flying start to this year's NBA Summer League.
Mitchell, who racked up a game-high 10 rebounds - eight on the offensive glass - against Boston on Monday, has posted outings of seven and six points, most of which has come from slam dunks.
In fact, his alley-oop from Peyton Siva on Monday drew rave reviews from the NBA TV crew, who exclaimed, "Somebody is watching Tony Mitchell, and that somebody is us!"
Mitchell, who is 6-of-12 shooting through two games, and his Detroit Pistons teammates will take on Oklahoma City tomorrow and Miami on Thursday. Both games will begin at noon on NBA TV.
